London Calling!

Anyone who has read or visited London knows that it isn’t popular for its fulfilled beaches and stunning landscapes. Obviously. Nevertheless, there is much to do and see in this city. Now, thanks to us, you can learn about many of London’s attractions, so for Pete’s (Dorothy) sake - just catch the first flight out, and Go!

London. There is no place like to it on Earth! Many adjectives such as big, bustling, traditional, historical, modern, futuristic, vibrant can describe London. It is the quintessential world-class metropolis and remains one of the most desired destinations for people across the world.

One of the most well recognized and identifiable cities in the world, London has many emblematic symbols – Big Ben, the Queen, the tube, double-decker buses, Harrods, Thames, London bridge – that have asserted themselves into global consciousness for decades now. London offers a plethora of activities suitable for all, and there is something for everyone.

Begin your first day in London by doing the rounds of the Museums. There are many (200 at the last count!) museums in the city - the British museum, the Tate Modern, the National Gallery, Madame Tussaud's, among others – that will leave you feeling culturally full and historically enlightened.

A place where the historic past and vivid present come alive, London is also a blend of path-breaking architecture and futuristic technologies bounded by tradition and history that add to its overall appeal. To gain a sense of London’s continuity, watch the sunset on the Waterloo Bridge. Or, enjoy the amazing silhouette of the great globe of St. Paul's Cathedral, in the east, as it glows golden in the twilight, just the same way it has since the 17th century, still holding its own amidst the numerous modern towers of glass and steel that has surrounded it since. The west of London is reminiscent of pseudo-medieval structures such as Westminster, the hub for all power decisions and the "Mother of Parliaments" that has been in service since the 1250s. Beyond this flows, gently, the dark waters of the Thames, following the same course as when it flowed when occupied by the mighty Romans nearly 2,000 years ago.

London is a walker’s paradise. With history greeting you at almost every corner, and a kaleidoscope of colorful cultures and traditions, you will do well if you travel through this city’s maze of streets soaking in the many sights that it offers. Royal Palace, with the Beefeaters guarding its gates, the adobe of the Queen, Hyde Park, and the London Eye (the 4th tallest structure in the city) make for striking memories.

Shopping aficionados especially love London. A Mecca for shoppers, it is spilling with designer labels, latest street fashion, and everything in between, all clamoring for the shopper’s attention. From Fortnum & Mason to Borough Market, from Bloomsbury to Piccadilly Street, from Soho to Convent Garden and Notting Hill, which is not cheap by any standard!

But that’s not all; during your stay in London you can also indulge your taste buds to savor diverse gastronomic pleasures. After all, London has more top restaurants than Paris and New York!

Whatever you desire, you’ll find it in this mega metropolis, and, like so many others, you will keep coming back for more…
